Exciting Process Operator Opportunity

• A Melbourne-based company that develops and manufactures bioplastics from renewable sources has an opportunity for a results-oriented and hands-on Process Operator to join the team.
• Their processes include extrusion to make sheets and resin granules, thermoforming, application development labs, etc.
• The candidate will be trained in lamination and will work in Lamination and Thermoforming division
• Role Based in Altona, Victoria.

Your Duties

• Operate in a safe manner; follow OH&S guidelines
• Maintain housekeeping standards.
• Start and stop laminator.
• Change rolls on laminator.
• Mix glue to procedures.
• Able to run laminator machine without supervision, once trained.
• Able to identify common laminator quality defects and correct accordingly.
• Thread material through laminator machine.
• Understand job order.
• Complete lamination safety checks, manufacturing condition report, and shift report.

• Clean up laminator, and laminator rolls.
• Operate barcode scanners.
• Train Laminator APO and direct and supervise to operate as team, once trained.

• Basic maintenance on laminator, basic machine troubleshooting.
• Operate forklift to move material around site.
• Other duties as required by supervisor or other Senior staff

Your Qualifications & Skills

To be competitive, you’d probably want to demonstrate:

• Fork Lift Operaton License
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
